President's Pick - The Homeschool Band

Have you recently switched from public school to homeschool and want to stay in extracurriculars? Or have you been homeschooled for a while and want to start something new? The Homeschool Band meets weekly on Wednesdays from 10:30 to noon. The instruments range from flutes and trumpets to oboe and percussion. The group consists of varying skill levels with a large age range from elementary students to high school.  It is perfect for anyone who wants to let their musical side show. I have played in the band for the last almost 7 years, and I continue to love rehearsing and performing. The band has a concert each semester and performs Pomp and Circumstance at the CAHSA Graduation ceremony each May!

Although we are a small band, we are mighty and put on a very entertaining concert with a mix of songs. Our amazing conductor, Brian Rohr, arranges music that meets the needs of each individual student. He also offers private instrument lessons in his home. Our upcoming concert is May 14, 2024 at 6pm at Calvary Baptist Church. Come attend our concert to hear our talent and see if the Homeschool Band may be the key to your future musical endeavors!
